It was full quorum at Dasra Philanthropy Day, hosted last week in Mumbai, with noted philanthropists spending a better part of their day sharing and listening to inspiring stories of giving. The day was best viewed from the lens of combinations, on and off stage.

Mother-daughter duo, Anu Aga and Meher Pudumjee of Thermax kicked off the gathering with a chat about building a family legacy of philanthropy. The reticent Wipro scion, Rishad Premji took the mic to speak about better giving, as wife Aditi, who works in the non-profit sector looked on from the other side of the stage.

Amit Chandra (Bain Capital) and wife Archana participated in two separate panel discussions as did, mentor and mentee, Hemendra Kothari (DSP Blackrock) and Kaku Nakhate (Bank of America). Kothari’s daughter Aditi, and husband, Vikram Desai dropped by to hear him speak. Sisters, Aparna and Radhika Piramal (VIP Industries) mingled freely through the day.

More power to the power of two.
