BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik resigns as Odisha CM after losing to BJP in the Assembly Election
Following the Biju Janata Dal's unforeseen defeat in the Assembly polls, party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik submitted his resignation to the Odisha Governor at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. BJD chief Naveen Patnaik served as the Chief Minister of Odisha for the last 24 years. The five-time Chief Minister reached the Governor’s official residence at 11:35 am, and later Patnaik submitted his resignation.
