With no alliance between the state's incumbent Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), both parties are confident of a favouring outcome from their respective election campaigns.

What did the Exit Polls suggest?
Standing true to Axis My India exit poll predicted that the BJP could win 18-20 seats in Odisha in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, while the ruling Biju Janata Dal might secure only 0-2 seats. In terms of vote share, the BJP is anticipated to receive 51% of the votes, followed by the BJD with 33%, and the Congress with 13%.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, the BJD maintained its strong presence by winning 12 out of 21 seats, though this represented a decrease from the 20 out of 21 seats it had secured in the 2014 Lok Sabha election.
