With no alliance between the state's incumbent Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), both parties are confident of a favouring outcome from their respective election campaigns.

    Union Minister and BJP candidate Dharmendra Pradhan, national spokesperson Sambit Patra, Aparajita Sarangi are all leading over BJD and Congress candidates.

    Standing true to Axis My India exit poll predicted that the BJP could win 18-20 seats in Odisha in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, while the ruling Biju Janata Dal might secure only 0-2 seats. In terms of vote share, the BJP is anticipated to receive 51% of the votes, followed by the BJD with 33%, and the Congress with 13%.

    In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, the BJD maintained its strong presence by winning 12 out of 21 seats, though this represented a decrease from the 20 out of 21 seats it had secured in the 2014 Lok Sabha election. Conversely, the BJP made significant strides in the state, capturing 8 seats in 2019, up from just 1 seat in 2014.
