COIMBATORE: Chief minister MK Stalin on Wednesday likened Prime Minister Narendra Modi's multiple visits to Tamil Nadu before polls to the seasonal arrival of a migratory bird to a sanctuary.

"Just like birds come to the sanctuary during the season, Prime Minister Modi himself hovers over Tamil Nadu during election season," he said in a long post on X on Wednesday. He said Modi has arrived with a guarantee card as the Gujarat model and Chaukidar roles were "exposed as fake."

Stalin sought to know if he would follow through on things such as a caste census, remove the current ceiling on reservations, strictly implement reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs, Tamil Nadu from the Neet exam, never impose Hindi or Sanskrit and transfer education to state list. He asked if the PM would write off education loans of students, ensure jobs for two crore youth per year, give Rs 400 under Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and fix minimum support price for agriculture produce.
