Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the Army will not be able to solve it and can just bring a temporary solution. Solution will come only from the heart and not from bullets.

He said that Congress demanded that Prime minister Narendra Modi should speak in Manipur however when the Prime minister started speaking they walked out. “ That completely exposed their design that their intention was only to disrupt the parliament and had nothing to do with Manipur. They raised hue and cry in the parliament but that was not out of love for Manipur but for vested political interest.”

He added, “ The Prime minister has spoken from his heart, he spoke about the Northeastern region and Manipur. He also demonstrated how much affection he has for Northeast India. We are happy and the opposition will definitely be unhappy. I think as a principal opposition party they should have listened to the speech till the end.”

Sarma said that the Indian Airforce dropped a bomb in Aizawl violence came down. “Today Rahul Gandhi said that the Indian army should stop the violence this means that they should open fire on the civilians. Is this his prescription? How can he say that? The Army will not be able to solve anything, they will be able to quiet or bring a temporary solution in a given situation. Solution will come only from the heart and not from bullets.”

Rahul Gandhi had said that the Indian Army can stop the violence Manipur in two days.

On Friday Gandhi said all that he is saying is that PM Modi and the Central government have multiple tools to contain the situation in Manipur, but they are not being utilised as PM Modi does not want the Manipur situation to be better for many reasons.
