Nipah in Kerala: 5th case reported, gatherings banned in Kozhikode; Bangladesh variant spurs cases, says health minister
A 24-year-old health professional at Kozhikode tested positive for Nipah on Wednesday night, taking the total number of active cases to three, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said. All the three cases are at Kozhikode. Dr Anoop Kumar, a specialist in critical care, who played a pivotal role in detection of the initial Nipah outbreak in 2018 as well as this year in Kerala has spoken to Mirror Now. Watch.
