    Outer Banks actor, Alexander “AJ” Jennings, dies in a double hit-and-run case

    Outer Banks actor Alexander Jennings was killed in a double hit-and-run incident in North Charleston, South Carolina on Tuesday, July 5th. He was brought to the Medical University of South Carolina hospital where he was declared dead.

    ‘Outer Banks’ actor Alexander “AJ” Jennings was killed in a hit-and-run incident in the early hours of Tuesday in North Charleston, South Carolina. According to the Charleston County Sherriff’s department, the incident occurred at Sol Legare Road, near Crovet Drive, which they responded to around 2:30 AM, ET. A witness informed the respondent deputies that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian walking on the road, and then fled the scene. A second vehicle soon hit the pedestrian, which also fled the scene. The pedestrian was transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina hospital, where he was pronounced dead. It was confirmed that the victim was the 22-year-old, Alexander Jennings.

    The Charleston’s County Sheriff’s office is still investigating the case, even though no charges have been filed yet. The second vehicle was found abandoned in downtown Charleston at a traffic stop. The first vehicle is yet to be located, as the police don’t have any description of the vehicle yet.     The cast and crew of Netflix’s Outer Banks were shocked at this tragic and sudden loss. AJ was the stand-in for the lead actor Chase Stokes, who penned a tribute on his Instagram for his deceased colleague. “My heart is shattered,” he wrote, before mentioning how AJ touched everyone’s lives and made them better people for which they’ll always be thankful.

    Season 3 of the show is currently in production in North Charleston. Meanwhile Netflix, is offering grief counselling to the cast and crew of the show.
