Russia Concert Hall Attack Highlights News: The deadly attack on a concert hall near Moscow was conducted by radical Islamists, but the shooting fits in a wider campaign of intimidation by Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
"This atrocity may be just a link in a whole series of attempts by those who have been at war with our country since 2014 by the hands of the neo-Nazi Kyiv regime," Putin said.
According to him those who planned the attack "hoped to sow panic and discord in our society, but they met unity and determination to resist this evil."

Suspects admit guilt in Moscow concert hall attack
Three out of four suspects accused of orchestrating the deadly concert hall attack in Moscow, which claimed over 130 lives, confessed to their involvement during a hearing in a Russian court on Sunday, reported PTI.The Basmanny District Court in Moscow formally charged Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, aged 32; Saidakrami Rachabalizoda, aged 30; Mukhammadsobir Faizov, aged 19; and Shamsidin Fariduni, aged 25, with carrying out a terrorist attack resulting in fatalities. This offense carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.The court ruled that all four men, who are Tajikistan nationals, would remain in custody until May 22 for further proceedings.Mirzoyev, Rachabalizoda, and Shamsidin Fariduni confessed to their roles after being formally charged. However, Faizov, the fourth suspect, was brought to court directly from a hospital, confined to a wheelchair, and remained with his eyes shut throughout the proceedings. He was attended by medical staff, dressed in a hospital gown and trousers, and displayed several cuts.The other three suspects appeared in court with visible bruises and swollen faces, prompting speculation in Russian media that they may have been subjected to torture during interrogation by security forces.
