Synopsis

The ESG Conclave to be held later this week will deliberate over themes like Sustainability Reporting framework, sustainable investing and green finance, ESG rating, building sustainable supply chain and circular economy.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the body that regulates the chartered accounting profession in the country, is coming out with a plan to become net-zero emission by 2049, to mark its one-hundredth anniversary. Meanwhile, the Institute’s operations are likely to become carbon neutral by FY24. Being carbon neutral refers to balancing out the total amount of carbon emissions. Under a net-zero situation, no carbon is emitted.
