Synopsis

Buffett’s investment wisdom transcends borders and generations, leaving an indelible mark on investors and fund managers. His philosophy of patient, value-based investing, and long-term business ownership continue to guide and inspire generations. As his 93rd birthday approaches, ET Prime takes a deep dive into the Oracle of Omaha’s investment philosophy and some of his finest bets.

Reaching the age of 93 is a big success in itself for many, but not for Warren Buffett — the world’s fifth richest man in Forbes Real-Time Billionaires’ list. Earlier this month, Berkshire Hathaway, the conglomerate run by Buffett, reported its best-ever quarterly results. Analysts were expecting its operating earnings to fall 8% on a revenue growth of 6%. But Buffett, who turns 93 at the end of August, had a surprise in store for the Street.
