At the last count, over 200 vaccine projects are reported in various stages of research, all aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19. But there are way too many of them to track. The world is depending on vaccines from companies like Pfizer, Moderna, and a few other frontrunners to control the outbreak, but will it be a smooth race?

The past two weeks have seen some excitement amid the gloom of the viral outbreak. After being an almost invisible protective medical intervention for decades, vaccines are making international headlines. First, it was New York-based Pfizer which announced that its vaccine against Covid-19 was found to be 90% effective.
