Synopsis

Google isn’t a not-for-profit body. When a large majority of apps has adopted Google’s in-app payment policy, why should some be left out, and benefit, without facing consequences?

In the last few days, the business news cycle has been dominated by the delisting of certain apps from the Google Play Store. And I am not here today to debate the merits of the issue at hand, as big one as that may be with long-term implications on the app usage in smartphones. My point through this is simple: as things stand. Is there any case for any app to hold off and not adapt to Google Play Store’s in-app payment policies? I don’t believe
