    AB-PMJAY scheme: AIIMS says over 23,000 beneficiaries availed benefits since 2018

    Since September 2018, over 23,000 beneficiaries have benefited from the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme at AIIMS, Delhi. The majority of patients seek treatment in medical oncology, ophthalmology, general medicine, orthopaedics, and neurosurgery departments. The Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) scheme has seen 730 procedures for congenital heart diseases, 557 total hip replacements, and 148 total knee replacements.

    Nationwide drill in hospitals on April 10, 11 to check Covid preparedness, Mandaviya to visit AIIMS Jhajjar

    A nationwide mock drill will be conducted on April 10 and 11 to assess the preparedness of hospitals amid rising COVID-19 cases. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will oversee the drill at AIIMS, Jhajjar, and has advised state health ministers to visit hospitals and review preparedness with district administrations and health officials on April 8 and 9.

    AIIMS to equip itself with 5G network by June 30

    The Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (IIMS) has decided to equip itself with a 5G network by June 30, in order to maximize the benefits of modern communication technology for patient care, teaching, research, and good governance. A five-member committee has been constituted to expedite the process, and the network will be beneficial for both the Institute's patients and staff.
