Sweden gives radar surveillance planes to Ukraine air force
Sweden will donate two Saab Airborne Surveillance and Control (ASC) 890 aircraft to Ukraine to enhance its defenses against Russia, as part of a $1.3 billion aid package. These aircraft will improve long-range target identification and support the integration of F-16 fighter jets donated by other Western countries. This contribution is part of Sweden's larger military support plan, pledging $7.1 billion over three years. Sweden will expedite orders for S 106 Global Eye aircraft to replace the donated planes, according to Defence Minister Pal Jonson.

India is making significant progress in developing and deploying advanced indigenous airborne early-warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft. India's aviation watchdog DGCA has implemented several measures to make helicopter operations during the Kedarnath pilgrimage safer. The measures include installing weather cameras at helipads and conducting additional hill checks for pilots operating helipads 10,000 feet above sea level or higher. The surveillance cameras at all operator helipads will provide recorded video footage for at least 14 days, allowing the DGCA to detect any non-compliance. Airborne Image Recording System will be activated to record flight parameters and cockpit video, ensuring pilots' compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) has been followed.
