No candidate is contesting in the town councils in eastern Nagaland, where ENPO gave a vote boycott call in support of their statehood demand for 'Frontier Nagaland Territory'."

    A total of 669 candidates, including 238 women, have filed nominations for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) elections in Nagaland set for June 26. These are the first such polls in 20 years with 33% reservation for women. The elections are being held amid objections over tribal rights and property taxes. Scrutiny of documents will be on June 18, with vote counting scheduled for June 29.
