It is a compact storm, with hurricane-force winds extending 15 miles (30 kilometers) from its center. Beryl is expected to pass just south of Barbados early Monday and then head into the Caribbean Sea as a major hurricane on a path toward Jamaica.

Russian navy frigate conducts drills in Atlantic, defence ministry says
Russia's Admiral Gorshkov navy frigate, which visited Cuba earlier in June, conducted anti-submarine drills in the Atlantic Ocean using a helicopter, the defense ministry announced on Tuesday. The helicopter's crew practiced tactical techniques for locating and tracking submarines more than 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the ship, making a total of five landings on the frigate's deck. The drills followed the frigate and the nuclear-powered submarine Kazan's training in the Atlantic, including high-precision missile weapons exercises, before their arrival in Havana harbor on June 12.

General Atlantic Singapore Fund Fii Pte and Asia Opportunities V (Mauritius) offloaded ₹1,004.29 crore worth of PNB Housing shares in a major transaction on the NSE. Selling 1.27 crore shares at ₹786 each, they reduced their holdings from 9.82% and 9.88% as of March 31. The buyers included Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore PTE and BNP Paribas Financial Markets, as PNB Housing shares closed lower by 5.43% at ₹794.4 amidst recent gains of 7.27% over the past month.

Shares of state-owned PNB Housing Finance dropped 4.8% to Rs 800 in early Thursday trading on the BSE, after a block deal where 1.36 crore shares changed hands. Asia Opportunities Fund and General Atlantic likely sold a 5.2% stake at a floor price of Rs 773, an 8% discount from the previous close of Rs 840.
