    BJP to appoint new national president by December

    The commencement of the first-year semester at Delhi University may be delayed to August 16 due to pending CUET-UG results, impacting the academic calendar. VC Yogesh Singh stated the delay won't affect other semesters starting on August 1. The NTA, dealing with NEET-UG and UGC-NET issues, hasn't communicated a CUET-UG result date. This delay affects admissions to 46 Central universities, including DU and JNU.

    Airbnb said travellers from over 160 countries and regions have already booked their stays on its platform during the sporting event. The Paris Olympics will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024. As of March 31, 2024, nights booked during the dates of the Olympics are over five times higher than they were in the Paris region the same time a year ago, it added.

    Govt caps interest equalisation at Rs 1.66 crore per IEC for July-August

    The Indian Commerce Ministry has announced a cap on interest equalisation for import-export codes (IEC) from July 1 to August 31. The government extended the interest equalisation scheme (IES) for two months to boost outbound shipments. The scheme, which ended on June 30, is only applicable to MSME manufacturer exporters. The IEC is mandatory for exports and imports.

    IAF's Su-30 MKIs to be part of 20-nation mega 'Exercise Pitch Black' in Australia

    The India Air Force announced that its Su-30 MKI fighter jets will participate in a biennial multinational aerial warfare exercise in Australia starting later this month. The event, known as 'Exercise Pitch Black 24,' will run from July 12 to August 2 and will be its largest edition yet, with 20 countries taking part. According to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), this year's exercise will be the biggest in its 43-year history.
