    Nadda, Sonia among 41 elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha; stage set for polling in UP, Karnataka, Himachal

    Sonia Gandhi, J P Nadda, Ashok Chavan, Ashwini Vaishnaw, and L Murugan were among the 41 candidates elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. The Trinamool Congress, YSR Congress, RJD, BJD, NCP, Shiv Sena, BRS, and JD(U) also had candidates elected. Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh will hold polling on February 27.

    All the 11 candidates in Uttar Pradesh, six in Tamil Nadu, five in Bihar, four in Andhra Pradesh, three each in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, two each in Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Telangana and Jharkhand and one candidate in Uttarakhand won without a contest.
