    Uttarakhand: Vehicular movement halted at Badrinath National Highway due to falling debris

    The Badrinath National Highway in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, has faced severe disruptions due to debris accumulation at multiple locations. Chamoli Police reported blockages near Bhanerpani, old Nagar Panchayat Pipalkoti, Kanchen Ganga, Chhinka Paagalnala, and Helang. These incidents have stranded commuters and locals, impacting traffic significantly. Efforts by local authorities and police to clear the debris have been ongoing, with interruptions in vehicular movement lasting for several hours at different points along the highway.

    Rain triggers landslides in Uttarakhand, two drown in separate incidents

    In Haridwar, a teenaged boy who had gone to bathe in a rain-fed rivulet in the Navoday Nagar area was swept away by strong currents. His body is yet to be found, the police said. His two friends who had also gone into the stream were rescued by locals.

    12 killed, 14 injured as tempo traveller carrying tourists falls into Alaknanda river in Uttarakhand

    Ten tourists were killed and 13 injured in a tragic accident on the Badrinath national highway in Uttarakhand. The victims were on their way to visit Chopta when the tempo traveller they were in skidded off the road and fell into the Alaknanda river. Most of the passengers were from Delhi. Seven seriously injured individuals were airlifted to AIIMS, Rishikesh, while six others are receiving treatment at Rudraprayag district hospital.

    Uttarakhand accident: Victim at AIIMS succumbs to injuries, toll rises to 15

    A person injured in the tempo traveller accident in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag succumbed to his injuries, taking the toll to 15, while the condition of four of the 11 injured is still critical, officials said on Sunday. A person who was brought to AIIMS, Rishikesh by air ambulance after the accident on Saturday died late at night, trauma surgeon Ruby Kataria said.
