    Union Bank of India attracts bids for 5 troubles accounts out of 25 put on sale

    Union Bank of India received bids from asset reconstruction companies (ARCs) for five of its 25 non-performing asset (NPA) accounts, including Jaypee Healthcare, Saraiwwalaa AGRR Refiners, and RCM Infrastructure. Bids aim to recover 15% to 89% of outstanding loans. The bank will use a Swiss auction process to finalize sales.

    Supernova insolvency case: NCLAT to wait for lenders' decision on settlement offer from Supertech Realtors

    Insolvency appellate tribunal NCLAT on Wednesday said it will wait for the decision of lenders on a revised settlement offer by Supertech Realtors, which is developing a residential apartment, offices, retail and luxury hotels at its Supernova project. NCLAT also directed the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) not to constitute a Committee of Creditors. However, it said the construction work for the project would be continued under the supervision of IRP.

    Federal Bank leads in loan expansion among Kerala banks in Q1

    Federal Bank reported a 20% year-on-year rise in gross loan portfolio to Rs 2.24 lakh crore at the end of June. Fairfax-backed CSB Bank clocked a 17.8% rise in gross loans to Rs 25,099 crore while South India Bank's loan portfolio rose 11.4% to Rs 82,510 crore.
