    Assembly bypolls results: INDIA bloc clinches 10 seats; BJP wins 2 and an independent candidate wins in Bihar

    The INDIA Bloc has won 13 assembly seats in the bypoll elections held across seven states, including Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Himachal Pradesh. The Congress, TMC, AAP, and DMK parties fielded candidates. The opposition parties won 10 seats, while the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) only managed to win two.

    Bengal bypolls: Counting begins for 4 assembly seats

    Vote counting for the bypolls in four assembly seats in West Bengal commenced on Saturday at 8 am, under tight security measures, according to an Election Commission official. "We have made adequate security arrangements in and around the counting centres. Apart from the state police, central forces are also deployed," the official told PTI.

    "The home minister patiently listened to cases of 'mob violence' that has gripped West Bengal and the atrocities committed on women by TMC leaders. I handed over a USB drive to him which contains video footages of violence. He enquired about the victims and extended full support for the abatement of the same," Adhikari posted on X.
