Chamoli Police reported blockages near Bhanerpani, old Nagar Panchayat Pipalkoti, Kanchen Ganga, Chhinka Paagalnala, and Helang. These incidents have stranded commuters and locals, impacting traffic significantly. Efforts by local authorities and police to clear the debris have been ongoing, with interruptions in vehicular movement lasting for several hours at different points along the highway.

Bridge over Alaknanda collapses in Uttarakhand, labourer goes missing

Two labourers fell into the river as the bridge collapsed. According to Chamoli Police, 50 meters of the highway have been washed away following incessant rainfall. "Falling debris and a rise in the water level of the Lambagad drain due to constant rainfall since Friday night have caused 50 metres of the NH-7 road to be washed away," said the Police.
