      Air India has launched 'Project Abhinandan' to enhance the on-ground experience for its passengers. Specially trained Service Assurance Officers will be stationed at 16 major airports in India to provide support and assistance to Air India guests. These officers will proactively engage with passengers, troubleshoot any issues, and address unforeseen problems such as missed flights or delayed baggage delivery. The initiative aims to simplify the airport experience and make passengers feel at ease and welcomed when flying with Air India. Over 100 Service Assurance Officers have already been recruited and deployed across airports.

In the non-peak season this year, we crossed 460,000 on a single day. This indicates a new demand surge in the sector. Also, the fleet size of aircraft grew from sub-400 in 2014 to about 700 now. So, there has been a 75% increase in the number of aircraft in nine years," Scindia said.
