    A 'bandh' protest called by Maratha organizations in Nashik, Maharashtra, to protest against police violence during a recent quota protest received a mixed response. However, bus and other necessary services were not affected. The protesters demanded the resignation of State Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis over the police lathi-charge incident in Jalna. Additionally, a 'rasta roko' (road blockade) protest caused traffic disruptions for an hour.
