    MHA ranks among 10 top ministries in grievance redressal assessment index

    During 2023-24, the MHA has performed exceptionally well by redressing 48,837 public grievances with the average redressal time of eight days against the standard 30 days, an official statement said on Friday. Only 10 per cent of grievances resulted in appeals which is one of the lowest among ministries. Citizen satisfaction also stands at 40 per cent, it said.

    All citizens can lodge grievances pertaining govt depts on CPGRAMS: Jitendra Singh

    Any citizen can lodge grievances pertaining to central government departments, states and Union territories on the Centralised Public Grievances Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on Wednesday. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Singh said that every ministry or department under the central and state governments (and UT administrations) have access to this system and grievances are resolved by them on a decentralised basis.

    Emphasising the need to protect customers by giving them efficient, prompt, and cost-effective grievance redressal mechanisms, Reserve Bank of India deputy governor M Rajeshwar Rao said the efforts of banks to provide timely solutions had not kept pace with the explosion in technology and products.
