    Delhi govt extends permit validity of taxis running on CNG, other clean fuels upto 15 years

    "All the Taxies plying on CNG or Clean Fuel registered in Delhi possessing Contract Carriage (Delhi NCR) Permit, the validity of the permit shall remain valid for 15 years subject to fulfillment of all other prescribed conditions, " the notification said.

This, despite these models have complied to CMVR (Central Motor Vehicle Rules Notified by Government of India) and the recently-mandated AIS 156 Phase 2 stringent battery certification, said sources close to the development.
