      The Delhi High Court has rejected two petitions challenging the Muslim husband's authority to pronounce divorce (talaq-ul-sunnat) without reason or notice. The court stated that the issues were already pending before the Supreme Court and no further orders were necessary. One petition argued that the practice was arbitrary and unconstitutional, while the other sought regulation of bigamy and polygamy by Muslim husbands.
