    India has launched an anti-dumping investigation into the import of glass fibre from China, Thailand, and Bahrain in response to a complaint by a local manufacturer. The probe, led by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) under the commerce ministry, aims to safeguard domestic industries from inexpensive imports. Owens-Corning (India) has filed for this investigation, citing potential harm to the domestic market and proposing anti-dumping duties on these imports.

    India imposes anti-dumping duties on three Chinese products

    On hydraulic rock breakers, the duty ranged between 4.55 per cent and 162.5 per cent of CIF (cost, insurance, freight) value in US dollars. The duty was also imposed on these goods coming from Korea. These breakers are used in the construction and mining industry for carrying out demolition, excavation, mining and boulder breaking activities.

    Beijing urges the European Union to revoke its preliminary tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) by July 4, as reported by China's state-controlled Global Times. The EU plans to impose provisional duties of up to 38.1% on Chinese-made EVs while investigating alleged excessive and unfair subsidies to Chinese EV makers. China is willing to negotiate to avoid another tariff war, reminiscent of U.S. tariffs imposed during the Trump administration, but will protect its firms if necessary.

    China warns of Taiwan 'war' as military drills encircle island

    On the second day of exercises, warships and fighter jets surrounded Taiwan in what Beijing described as a test of its capability to seize the island, following the inauguration of its new president. China's military initiated the two-day war games on Thursday, deploying naval vessels and military aircraft to encircle democratic Taiwan, affirming its determination that the blood of "independence forces" on the island would be shed.
