    US Senate announces plan to provide 100K work authorisation to spouses and children of H-1B visa holders

    A bipartisan agreement, known as the National Security Agreement, has been announced, providing relief to H-1B visa holders and their families. The agreement introduces automatic work authorization for approximately 100,000 H-4 visa holders, who are spouses and children of a specific category of H-1B visa holders.

    A Norwegian climber and her sherpa guide have set the record for the fastest time to scale all peaks above 8,000 metres. Kristin Harila and Tenjen Sherpa completed the 14 peaks in just over three months, finishing on K2, the second-highest mountain in the world on Thursday. The previous record of six months and one week was set by Nepal's Nirmal Purja in 2019.
