    Banks for including electric vehicles, green hydrogen in priority lending

    Banks are of the opinion that bringing such loans under priority lending list will help plug financing gaps in these sectors and help lenders meet their priority sector lending targets. Last month, the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) set up a committee to investigate various aspects of sustainable financing and lending with Environmental, Societal and Governance (ESG) issues in focus.

    ElectriVa to set up 12 charging points in Kanpur

    “We have a target of providing EV charging facilities in top 100 cities of the country in the next one year. We are already the largest player in Delhi and NCR. In the next three years, ElectriVa will set up, operate and maintain more than one fourth of total EV stations in India,” said Sumit Dhanuka, Founder, ElectriVa.

    Starting June 1, Delhiites can charge their EVs free of cost from noon to 3pm

    The move is aimed at promoting the use of electric vehicles and also to incentivise EV charging at public stations, authorities said. This initiative of free afternoon charge to EV users is being taken up by an EV charging startup ElectriVa, which has set up over 40 public charging stations in partnership with the three civic bodies.

    EV charging startup ElectriVa in talks to raise $30 million

    ElectriVa is currently among the leading independent EV charging station operators in India. The company was setup earlier this year by New Delhi based entrepreneur Sumit Dhanuka who has a background in renewable energy.
