Designer Gaurav Gupta is taking a leading role in combating counterfeit luxury products in India. He has filed nine cases with the Delhi High Court against counterfeiters, seeking Rs 2 crore in damages from each and aiming for restraining orders. Gupta, whose designs have been worn by celebrities like Beyonce and Mindy Kaling, has seen three cases ruled in his favor, with interim injunctions in the other six.
