    FLY91 to set up multiple bases; eyes upcoming Noida, Navi Mumbai airports

    FLY91, a regional airline based in Goa, is planning to expand its operations by making the upcoming Noida and Navi Mumbai airports its bases. Currently operating with two planes, the airline started operations in March and flies to seven destinations. By the end of this year, FLY91 aims to have six aircraft. It plans to have five bases and connect 50 destinations in the next five years, with a fleet of 70-seater ATR 72-600 aircraft. The airline has raised USD 25 million and aims to break even in the latter half of the next financial year.

    Domestic air traffic likely to touch 164 million in FY25

    India's domestic air traffic is projected to increase by 6-8 per cent to 161-164 million this financial year, while international air traffic is expected to rise by 9-11 per cent to 75-78 million by March 2025. Domestic carriers are facing consolidated losses of $0.4-0.6 billion due to capacity shortages from around 130 grounded aircraft. This is excluding the profitable Indigo. The number of grounded aircrafts is expected to increase to 180, including those of Go First. Net inductions of 84 aircraft are anticipated, bringing the total domestic fleet to 812 by March 2025.

    Adani One superapp clocked gross sales of Rs 750 crore in FY24

    According to the 2023-24 annual report of the Ahmedabad-based conglomerate's flagship company Adani Enterprises, the user base of the superapp grew to 30 million at the end of the financial year.       Army grounds ALH fleet for safety checks

      The Indian Air Force however confirmed that it is still operating its fleet of ALHs, following safety checks that are being done in batches. The Navy is still undertaking safety checks on the fleet. The cause of the crash is not immediately known and a court of inquiry has been ordered to get into details of the technical fault suffered by the aircraft.

      The French Navy deployed Mistral class amphibious assault ship FS Dixmude and La Fayette class frigate FS La Fayette in the exercise. "The seamless conduct of the exercise reaffirmed the interoperability and high level of cooperation between the two navies," the Indian Navy said in a brief statement.
