As Onam approaches, barren lands turn flower farms: The success story of Kerala's Kattakkada
Marigold farms have grown across 60 acres of barren lands in Kattakada Assembly Constituency, located about 25 km from Thiruvananthapuram, due to the “Our Onam Our Flowers” project. Led by Kattakada MLA I B Satheesh, the project has been implemented successfully by involving women workers from Kudumbashree and MGNREGA who ploughed, planted, and watered the saplings to create blooming marigold farms.
