    Godrej Electricals commissions 12.5 MWp rooftop solar project in MP

    On Monday, Godrej & Boyce's business unit Godrej Electricals & Electronics announced the commissioning of a 12.5 MWp rooftop solar project for a textile facility in Madhya Pradesh. The project, spread over 1 million square feet of manufacturing sheds, is one of the three largest rooftop solar installations in India and the first in the state. It aims to provide green energy to the textile facility, leading to an estimated annual saving of 17 million kWh of power.

    L&T bags solar power projects in Middle East

    L&T's renewable arm won orders for two 3.5 GW Solar PV plants in the Middle East. Projects include grid interconnections with soon-to-start construction, valued at Rs 10,000-15,000 crore. Boosting its green portfolio, L&T is a USD 27 billion multinational. Shares traded at Rs 3,600, down 0.78% on BSE, noted by Chairman S N Subrahmanyan.

      NHPC, ENGIE sign pacts for two 200 MW solar projects in Gujarat

      State-owned NHPC and energy solutions provider ENGIE have signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for two 200 MW solar projects. NHPC's project will be located within Gujarat State Electricity Corporation's renewable energy park at Khavda, with an estimated cost of Rs 846.66 crore and a completion period of 15 months from the PPA execution date.

      Assam: Janata Bhawan solar project inaugurated; becomes first civil secretariat in India to rely fully on solar power

      Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the Janata Bhawan Solar Project, a 2.5-Mw power generation capacity grid connected rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV system. The project will generate an average of 3 lakh units of electricity monthly, with an investment of Rs. 12.56 crore expected to be recovered within four years. The project will make the Assam Secretariat Complex the first civil secretariat in the country to rely entirely on solar generated electricity for daily consumption.
