Despite injuries, soldiers like Rifleman Kartik Singh continued fighting. The ambush, claimed by the Kashmir Tigers, marks an escalation in violence. Security forces are conducting extensive search operations in Kathua and neighboring districts to apprehend the terrorists.

    DGP reviews ongoing anti-terror operation in J&K's Kathua

    DGP R R Swain, with Vijay Kumar and Anand Jain, reviewed the Kathua operation targeting terrorists who ambushed two Army vehicles, killing and injuring five soldiers each. The 3:30 pm attack involved indiscriminate firing on Machedi-Kindli-Malhar road near Badnota. The search resumed post heavy rains with Army, police, CRPF, para-commandos, sniffer dogs, drones, and helicopters.

    Encounter in Doda; search operation in Kathua widened

    On Tuesday afternoon, a gunfight erupted between the armed forces and infiltrators in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. The exchange of fire took place during a cordon and search operation in the Ghadi Bhagwah forest following a tip-off about the presence of infiltrators in the area.
