Grizzly bear attack claims two lives in Banff National Park
Two individuals were tragically killed in a bear attack in Banff National Park in Alberta. The victims, who were partners, were accompanied by their dog during the attack. The couple were described as outdoor enthusiasts who followed bear safety protocols. Parks Canada received an alert of the attack but adverse weather conditions delayed their response. A grizzly bear displaying aggressive behavior was destroyed for public safety.
