      There was a 31% increase in the number of complaints in FY23 versus FY22, show data of 370 of the BSE500 companies put together for ET by Complykaro, which advises companies on PoSH compliance. The increase was across sectors: IT (84%), financial services (27%), telecom (58%), manufacturing (50%) and metals (65%).

      NMC asks health institutions to form sexual harassment probe panels

      The National Medical Commission (NMC) has requested all healthcare institutions and medical colleges to establish committees to investigate sexual harassment allegations against their employees and report back to the commission as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The move follows the commission's assurances last year to act against sexual harassment in the medical profession after a group of medical students accused their professors of sexual abuse.
