LS polls: Srinagar records voter turnout at 36.58 pc, highest since 1996
The Srinagar constituency recorded 36.58 per cent voting till 8 pm, the Election Commission of India said. This was the first general election in the valley after the abrogation of Article 370 and the enactment of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, the EC said in a statement.

PAGD wins 94/241 seats declared so far in J&K's DDC elections
Gupkar Declaration has won 94 seats in the first District Development Council elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Out of a total of 280 seats, the 7-party alliance won seats mainly in the Kashmir valley, while BJP won 68 seats, 65 in the Jammu region.

50% voting in fourth phase of DDC polls
Voting took place peacefully across J&K except in Narbal area on the outskirts of Srinagar, where an incident of firing took place near the polling station. J&K police said alleged militants travelling in a car opened fire at the armed forces posted at the barricade when they were signalled to stop. The police said a civilian was injured when he ran for cover during the firing.
