Earlier last week, the Delhi's Rouse Avenue court extended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader's judicial custody till May 30 in CBI's case related to Delhi Excise Policy.

While seeking bail for him, Sisodia's counsel submitted that the ED and the CBI are still arresting people in the money laundering and corruption case and there is no question of early conclusion of the trial.

Earlier this month, a lower court extended Sisodia’s judicial custody till May 21. Special Judge Kaveri Baweja extended the custody after he was produced before the court through video conference on the expiry of his judicial custody granted earlier.

Sisodia has been in custody since February 26, 2023, after arrest by the CBI. Later, he was arrested by the ED.
