4 die, 7 injured in road mishaps in Agra region

Agra: Four people died and seven were injured in three separate road accidents across Agra region in the past 24 hours.
In Mainpuri, a collision between a tractor-trolley loaded with corn and a motorcycle claimed the lives of Pushpanjali (25) and her friend Anamika (24), while leaving Amit Singh critically injured on Thursday. The incident occurred on the Lodhipur-Bahadurpur road within Bichwan police station area.
Amit Singh, from Panwah Jakhrua village, was accompanying his wife Pushpanjali and Anamika to Sundar Singh Mahavidyalaya in Bahadurpur for their BA semester examination.
ASP Anil Kumar said, “The tractor driver fled the scene. Based on the complaint received, an FIR will be filed.”
In Mathura, near the Deewana Kalan railway crossing on the Aligarh-Raya Road, a collision between a roadways bus and a tractor resulted in injuries to six labourers in the tractor, one of whom later succumbed to injuries. The other five are receiving treatment at a private hospital. The bus, from Aligarh to Mathura, collided with the tractor. Rajpal Singh, a 45-year-old farmer on the tractor, died in the accident while his son Naresh sustained critical injuries.

Jamunapar SHO Chhotelal said, “The bus driver absconded and passengers left in other vehicles, making it difficult to ascertain injuries among them. Transport corporation officials have been informed. It’s suspected the bus driver may have dozed off, causing the collision.”
In Hathras, a father-daughter duo on a motorcycle was struck by a tractor-trolley at Pata intersection in Mursaan police station area. The father succumbed to injuries at the district hospital, while the daughter is undergoing treatment. Jagveer Singh (60) from Paitikheda village in Agra districta was dropping his daughter Renu and her year-old daughter to Maipurna village in Aligarh district when the accident occurred.
