Ahmedabad: Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) and its dedicated vertical, the Center for Net-Zero Energy Transition (C-NET) under GETRI, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Long Duration Energy Storage Council (LDES Council). The MoU was signed in the presence of Kanu Desai, minister of energy and Jai Prakash Shivahare, managing director, GUVNL.
Julia Souder, CEO of LDES and chair of Global Renewable Alliance (GRA), and Sourav Nandy, CFM (power trading) signed the MoU. “It paves the way for a comprehensive assessment of long-duration energy storage solutions. These technologies are crucial for ensuring grid stability and enabling large-scale integration of renewable energy sources, ” the GUVNL said in a statement. tnn
