Amritsar: Heroin seized from border

AMRITSAR: The BSF seized 9kg heroin from the India-Pakistan border near Amritsar on Friday. According to an official, the narcotic was found in the jurisdiction of 88 Battalion in Amritsar sector. So far this year, BSF has seized around 387kg drugs from the Pakistan border in Punjab.
A BSF official said on spotting suspicious movement on the border, BSF’s patrolling party challenged the intruders, following which they fled back to Pakistan.
