BHOPAL: There were clouds and light showers in Bhopal on Thursday. It kept the temperatures in check, but the city continues to wait for strong pre-monsoon showers.
Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, there was an impact of a western disturbance. A cyclonic circulation was over south west Rajasthan. A possibility of rain and thunder was underlined for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar Malwa, Neemuch, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Shivpuri, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Panna, Damoh, Sagar, and Pandhurna districts.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Thursday was recorded at 37.0 degrees celsius, two degrees less than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 24.6 degrees celsius, two degrees less than normal mark.
Sidhi was hottest at 44.4 degrees celsius.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Friday the meteorological officials said, there would be cloudy sky with possibility of thunderclap and light rain. Day and night temperature will be respectively 39 degrees celsius and 26 degrees celsius while average wind speed will be respectively 15 km per hour.
In the forecast for the state the meteorological officials issued a warning of heat wave for places including Singrauli, Sidhi, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna and Maihar districts.
A warning of thunderclap and high velocity winds was issued for Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat and Pandhurna districts. A warning of thunder clap and strong winds was issued for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Alirajpur, Jhabua, Dhar, Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur and Neemuch districts.
