Yadav will launch 'PM Shri Tourism Air Service' from Gwalior on June 15 and from Ujjain on June 16. Under this service, 8 cities of the state - Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Gwalior, Singrauli and Khajuraho - will connected by air service. Yadav said that the geographical area of Madhya Pradesh is more than many countries in Europe, and in terms of population the state is bigger than many countries. "The air service will significantly reduce travel time taken by road and rail. Travel from remote Rewa-Singrauli region will become easier and will also take less time. Air ambulance also provided its services during election period. Madhya Pradesh is the only state having this type of facility", he said.
The CM said that with the cooperation of Prime Minister, the country's first helicopter pilot training school has been started in Khajuraho. "The state government will make all efforts to issue degrees and diplomas through pilot training institutes and nearby universities wherever there are airstrips. Air service will make transportation easier and efforts are being made to connect both Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlingas with air service so that people can visit both of them in lesser time. Religious places like Orchha, Salkanpur, Katni, and Datia will also be connected by air", he said. Yadav also gave boarding passes to passengers of the plane departing from Bhopal to Jabalpur-Rewa-Singrauli. He welcomed the first passengers of the air service.
