Bihar man die in Kuwait fire, his family living in Yamunanagar leaves for native village to cremate body
YAMUNANAGAR: A native of Bihar state, Anil Giri (35) whose family resided in Vijay Colony of Yamunanagar city, was killed in a fire incident at Mangaf, Kuwait on Wednesday.
As soon as Giri’s family residing in Yamunanagar received the information of Giri’s death, they immediately left for their native village in Bihar, as his body was scheduled to reach there from Delhi for cremation.

Giri along with other Indian and foreign workers were staying at a building in Mangaf, Kuwait, which caught fire, killing 49 people, most of them Indians.
Anil’s wife Priyanka along with their two children left for Bihar on Thursday.
Pooja alias Neetu Giri, younger sister of Anil, who works in a canteen of a college in Yamunanagar, said that the dead body of her brother would be taken to their native village Kali Chhappar in Gopalganj district of Bihar and cremation will performed there.
Pooja said, “We received information about Anil’s death from his brother-in-law, who also lived in Kuwait on Wednesday night. On receiving the information, Anil’s wife Priyanka along with her two children left for Bihar on Thursday. Our parents live in Bihar,” said aggrieved Pooja.

“Anil went to Kuwait to earn a livelihood about five years ago. He was working as a welding assistant/worker there. He came to India about two and a half-year ago and he was planning to come here this year also. The family had talked to him over phone just two days prior to the fire incident” said Pooja.
Pooja further added that Anil has two children, one is a 14-year-old girl, who is studying in Class IX and the other child is a son (8), who is studying in Class V in a school of Yamunanagar.
“Anil’s wife is a housewife. He was the sole bread earner in the family and now we do not have him with us. Government should come forward to help Anil’s family financially, so that they can earn their livelihood,” further added Pooja.
She said that the family had talked to him over mobile phone just two days before this fire incident.
