While the pandemic rages, students from city are not letting that dampen their spirits of pursuing higher education in colleges of repute outside the Tricity of Chandigarh. Some of these students have overcome personal limitations to forge their aspirations ahead and secured admissions in coveted universities abroad.
Prakhar Khandelwal a student who hails from an ordinary family has set an inspiring story as he gets into a globally recognized institution for pursuing Chemical Engineering.
With the help of a city based education consultants, after rigorous training and hard work, Prakhar received scholarships from eminent universities like the University of Manchester, University College London, University of Cambridge, King's College, Imperial College-London, University of Toronto, UBC and McGill University.
For the shy and introverted young lad, Gunraj Singh, it was difficult to open up before others. However, he had a zeal to persevere and pursue a program in Business from a world-class university. With single minded dedication, he was able to crack top-notch universities like Michigan State University, Indiana University, Wilfrid Laurier University, McMaster University, McGill University, University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, University of Waterloo and York University.
Similar is the tale of Shourya Raman who started his journey as a freshman in 2016, with the vision to get admission in a pioneering medical school in the UK. While the journey was not all a bed of roses for Raman, he didn’t give up and rather signed-up for an array of skills and interview sessions. His hard work finally paid off and he received admission offers from the medical schools at Sheffield University and Newcastle University.
