CHANDIGARH: A 36-year-old man allegedly murdered a 31-year-old woman in Phase-5 of Mohali in broad daylight on Saturday. The victim was on her way to work when the assailant attacked her.
Authorities have not yet determined the attacker's motive for the crime.

"CCTV footage showed that a man, who was holding a sword, allegedly attacked the woman on the road," said police.

In the video, the assailant, armed with a sword, can be seen pursuing the woman and assaulting her repeatedly.
The woman was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but due to the severity of her injuries, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police have stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
