NEW DELHI: Public Works Department (PWD) minister Atishi on Saturday approved projects for the rehabilitation and strengthening of four roads between Noida and Akshardham.
According to officials, NH24 to Link Road No.1, NH24 to Link Road No. 2, Noida Link Road and Noida Mor Flyover (Slip Road) will undergo strengthening.
“The sanctioned road-strengthening project across Delhi is a testament to the Delhi govt’s dedication to delivering world-class road infrastructure for the city’s residents.
The strengthening of these roads will positively impact thousands of individuals in the area, alleviating congestion and enhancing interconnectivity from main roads to colonies,” said Atishi.
The minister further said that these roads were constructed and upgraded long ago. These roads are used by many commuters during peak hours, which has led to their gradual deterioration, she added.
“The department has conducted a thorough assessment of the roads with the assistance of experts and has been instructed to initiate the upgrading process”.
