NEW DELHI: In a much-needed respite from the ongoing severe heatwave, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate intensity rain and winds for various parts of Delhi NCR and surrounding regions on Thursday.

According to the latest update issued, the areas expected to experience rainfall within the next two hours include North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, West Delhi, and Central Delhi.

Residents in NCR regions such as Loni Dehat, Hindon Air Force Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, and Chhapraula can also expect rainfall.
The weather department has further indicated that adjoining areas in Haryana, including Sonipat, Rohtak, and Kharkhoda, as well as locations in Uttar Pradesh such as Bagpat, Khekra, Modinagar, and Pilakhua, will witness similar weather conditions.
This forecast brings a sigh of relief to the residents, who have been enduring sweltering temperatures for the past few days.
