FARIDABAD: A 35-year-old man in Haryana's Faridabad district has allegedly taken his own life following a WhatsApp conversation with a Pakistan-based phone number. The incident took place in Nawada village during the night between Friday and Saturday.
The deceased man has been identified as Arun. Police have registered an FIR based on a complaint from Arun's younger brother, Anuj.

According to the FIR, Arun's mother discovered him around 4.30 am on Saturday. She found him lying on the floor with a noose around his neck.
Anuj's complaint mentioned that when Arun's mobile phone was checked, it was found he had been chatting on WhatsApp with a Pakistan phone number. During the chat, Arun was reportedly being instigated to commit suicide by hanging himself.
The spokesperson said the FIR has been registered under Indian Penal Code section 306 (abetment to suicide).
